Reina inks three-year deal

Pepe Reina officially became a Bayern player on Friday. Accompanied by chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, his deputy Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Michael Reschke, the 31-year-old keeper put his name to a three-year contract keeping him at the club until 30 June 2017. Reina passed the obligatory pre-transfer medical on Friday evening. Pepe has been assigned the squad number 23, the same as he wears for Spain. Reina will pull on Bayern colours in earnest for the first time at Saturday's Allianz FC Bayern Team Presentation.

Gagelmann to whistle Super Cup

Peter Gagelmann from Bremen has been appointed to referee next Wednesday’s Super Cup clash between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern at Signal Iduna Park (kick-off 6 pm CET, live in Germany on ZDF and Sky). Gagelmann will be assisted by Sven Jablonski and Thomas Gorniak, with Marco Fritz named as the fourth official. The DFL Super Cup was instigated in its current form in 2010 as an annual pre-season meeting between the reigning champions and cup holders. If the champions also win the cup, the Bundesliga runners-up contest the Super Cup, as is the case this year.
